Centrifugal fans are widely used in many factories and buildings, and have great advantages in ventilation and other aspects. However, as a mechanical structure of fan equipment, long-term operation will definitely cause wear and tear inside the equipment and affect the centrifugal fan. The service life of the fan, especially the incorrect use, will aggravate this phenomenon.

1)Routine maintenance of centrifugal fans

1. Centrifugal fan impeller

In the early stage of its operation, you should always check whether it is installed firmly, whether there is wear and cracks, and whether it has accumulated dust. If there is dust, it should be removed in time, and the dust and rust below it should be regularly brushed with a wire brush. Etc., because as the running time increases, the dust cannot be evenly attached to the impeller, which will cause the balance of the impeller to be destroyed, which will cause the rotor to vibrate.

As long as the impeller of the centrifugal fan has been repaired, it needs to be dynamically balanced again. If possible, a portable dynamic balancer can be used to balance it on site. Before doing the dynamic balance of the impeller, it is necessary to check whether all the fastening bolts are tightened, because the impeller has been operated in an unbalanced state for a period of time, and these fastening bolts may become loose.

2. Case and air intake chamber

Regularly check whether the casing of the centrifugal fan and the interior of the air intake chamber are severely worn, remove serious dust accumulation, and regularly check whether all fastening bolts are firm. For fans with compression bolts, the butterfly on the foot should be The spring is compressed to the installation height specified in the drawings.

3. Fan bearing parts

Regularly check the supply of lubricating oil (grease) to the bearings of the centrifugal fan. If there is oil leakage from the fan box, you can tighten the bolts of the end cover a little. Generally, when the lubricating oil of centrifugal fan bearings is in normal condition, it should be replaced at least once within half a year. When it is used for the first time, it should be carried out after about 200 hours of operation, and the second oil change time should be carried out in 1 to 2 months. Brand lubricating oil, and the old oil in the oil tank should be completely drained and cleaned before filling with new oil.

4. Other supporting equipment

Since the manufacturers of centrifugal fans are different, the maintenance of other supporting equipment, including motors, electric actuators, instruments, meters, etc., can be detailed in the centrifugal fan manuals provided by each manufacturer.

2)Precautions for daily maintenance of centrifugal fans

1. Only when the centrifugal fan is completely normal can it run.

2. If the fan equipment is started after maintenance, it is necessary to pay attention to whether all parts of the fan are normal.

3. Regularly remove dust, dirt, water and other impurities inside the centrifugal fan and gas delivery pipeline, and prevent rust and corrosion.

4. Repairs to centrifugal fans must not be carried out during operation.

5. If the flow rate is too large or does not meet the use requirements, etc., the throttling device can be used to adjust to meet the use requirements.

6. During the start-up, stop or operation of the centrifugal fan, if abnormal phenomena are found, the stop inspection should be carried out immediately.

7. For the small faults found in the inspection, the cause should be found out in time, and try to eliminate or deal with it. If the small fault cannot be eliminated, or if a major fault is found, it should be repaired immediately.

8. After the centrifugal fan is dismantled and repaired each time, in addition to changing the lubricating oil, the temperature-resistant grease should be replaced regularly to ensure the normal operation of the fan.

9. If one of the following abnormalities occurs during the operation of the centrifugal fan, it must be stopped for repair: the current is too large, the fan runs with abnormal sound, the belt is too loose, severe vibration occurs, and the temperature rise of the motor is too high.
